Privacy & cookies
Sobalist is a small, independent travel guide operated by ShereOn Group. This page explains what information is and isn't collected when you visit sobalist.com, and the choices you have. Last updated: June 2026.
The short version
We don't run user accounts, logins, newsletters or contact forms on this site, and we don't ask you for personal details. We don't sell data. The few cookies involved come from the affiliate and infrastructure services described below — not from us building a profile of you.
What we collect ourselves
Almost nothing. There is no sign-up and no account. The on-site search runs in your browser. We don't operate our own advertising or behavioural analytics. If we add privacy-friendly, cookieless visitor statistics in future, we'll update this page.
Hosting & delivery (Cloudflare)
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may process limited technical data — such as your IP address and browser type — to serve pages securely and protect against abuse. This is standard server-side processing carried out under Cloudflare's own privacy terms.
Affiliate links & cookies
Sobalist is reader-supported. Some outbound links to booking and travel partners — for example Booking.com, and partners reached through the Travelpayouts network such as Kiwitaxi, Klook and Airalo — are affiliate links. When you click one, the partner may set a cookie so that, if you go on to book or buy, the sale can be attributed to us and we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These cookies are set and controlled by those third parties under their own privacy policies, not by Sobalist.
Fonts
We load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers and Google may receive your IP address as part of serving the fonts.
Third parties we rely on
- Cloudflare — hosting, security and content delivery.
- Travelpayouts and its partners (e.g. Kiwitaxi, Klook, Airalo) — affiliate link tracking.
- Booking.com — affiliate links to accommodation.
- Google Fonts — web typography.
Each of these is an independent controller of any data it processes, and some may transfer data outside the EU under their own safeguards.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, including third-party cookies, without breaking the site — the affiliate cookies above are only needed if you want a booking credited to us. Most browsers also offer a "do not track" or tracking-protection mode.
Your rights
If you're in the EU/EEA, the GDPR gives you rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority (in Croatia, that's AZOP). Because we don't hold accounts or contact records, most data about you sits with the third parties listed above — but if you have any question about Sobalist specifically, just email us.
Children
Sobalist is a general travel guide and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this page as the site evolves; the date at the top always shows the latest version.
