Why we exist

Searching for somewhere good to stay in Croatia usually means wading through thousands of near-identical listings. We do the opposite: we pick a small number of genuinely characterful boutique hotels, design stays and guesthouses, and we are honest about who each one actually suits — couples, remote workers, budget travellers or anyone who just wants somewhere with a point of view.

How we choose

• We focus on boutique, design and heritage places with character, not big chain resorts.
• We flag work-from-here details — desk, wi-fi, coworking nearby — because that is how a lot of us travel now.
• We are upfront about price: where a city like Dubrovnik or Hvar runs expensive, we say so rather than pretend everything is a bargain.
• We only write what we can stand behind, and we flag anything we have not been able to confirm.
