Our take

Villa Wolff sits right on Lapad's bay, swapping old-town bustle for sea views, a beach and the easy rhythm of the promenade. It's compact and boutique, with a terrace over the water that does a lot of the work. The old town is a short bus ride away, so you get the best of both: quiet evenings by the sea, sightseeing when you want it. More reachable than the inside-the-walls hotels, though still a Dubrovnik price.
