Rovinj in a day

6 June 2026 · 5 min read

Rovinj is the most photogenic town in Istria — a tangle of pastel houses rising to a single church tower above the sea. A day is enough to see it well.

Morning — the old town

Climb the steep lanes to the church of St Euphemia, whose tower crowns the town, then drift down the Grisia street, lined with artists' studios, through the Balbi Arch to the harbour.

Afternoon — Zlatni Rt

Walk or cycle into the Zlatni Rt (Punta Corrente) forest park just south of town, with shaded paths, swimming spots and pines to the water's edge. End with a drink on the harbour as the light softens.

Stay in or beside the old town — see our boutique hotels in Rovinj — or read the museums of Rovinj guide.
