Korčula in 2 days

Often called a miniature Dubrovnik, Korčula deserves an overnight rather than a day trip — two days gives you the walled town and the wine villages.

Day 1 — the old town

Walk the herringbone lanes of Korčula Town, designed to break the wind, visit the cathedral, and catch the Moreška sword dance if it's on. Sunset from the walls is the reward.

Day 2 — wine & Lumbarda

Head to Lumbarda for the rare white Grk from its sandy vineyards, and the Pošip villages of Čara and Smokvica — see wines of Dalmatia. Finish on a beach.
